I definitely agree that its nice not to see a person just reusing stupid stuff that required little to no talent and then expect to be praised for it.
But I must mention that while these are nice drawings, they just seem rather generic to me. Good stuff, but so simple, that it looks like there's no real style that stands out.
One thing I suggest is don't let the thick ends of lines be visible. At least make sure they connect all the way, or taper them off. The Bee and roosterroach are both very guilty of this (edit: looks like you fixed the bee). Another thought is try shading your drawings.
I won't lie, these drawings are good, but as of now, they seem rather simplistic and generic. I'd be more impressed if a unique style was present. Don't get me wrong, they are definitely not bad drawings.
