Author Topic: Snaily's Abacus and Combination Lock  (Read 2194 times)

Two little things I made. Run on default events.

Abacus:
abacus |ˈabəkəs|
noun ( pl. -cuses )
1 an oblong frame with rows of wires or grooves along which beads are slid, used for calculating.

A very simple base 10 abacus. I made it after seeing several event calculators and thinking "I can do that..."
The abacus uses default events, and once I post the marco + event saves, you can make your own: it literally takes 3 minutes to set up, no named bricks.

Combination Lock:
A compact high-security combination lock. Each brick has 3 color options, and with 6 bricks, there are 720 different combinations. The password for the lock is fully customizable; just pull off the panel in the back and set it. The lock uses default events and doesn't use any named bricks.

The only downside is that when there's too much lag (or in rare cases the password is changed), the password may register as incorrect. If that happens, just enter it again.

I'll probably post event saves and set-up instructions later, but I duno. You can try these things out at Badspot's server. Both .bls files are bedroom saves.

nice, and i want to see the abacus, also, if you name the lock you can make it so that when the relay fires you can set the events to blue, and color to blue

I fixed it without named bricks; When it gets a relay, it resets after 600 milliseconds :)

whats the default pass

whats the default pass
It says on the back, but it's all blue. Click the panel (clear brick on the back) to open up the back and change the password. The password is what you enter on this panel, mirrored.

Oh, forgot to mention. For the big door with the lock on either side, you need to triple-click the 1x1 brick (opposite of the panel on the other side) left of the door to expose the bricks that change the password. But I wouldn't even bother with the big door, that was just a sample of what the lock can be used for.

Did you click the ramp above the keys? I probably should have mentioned that that's how you check X|

Edit: Do you have the radio wave projectile enabled?

It's set to all blue by default. Click the clear panel in the back and click the 1x1 plates on the other side to change the password
