tl;dr Let her throw stuff at you, especially as you're leaving her room, show evidence of her tantrum to father, watch her get beat. Then you can call father a hypocrite for hitting a girl.

This is what I do in every situation that involves anger.

Hey hey hey. Little kids are ungodly bastard children sent from hell to torture the living. Most kids who are below 8 who can talk are generally just little stuffs, and I was unnaturally violent as a kid. But hey, she shouldn't loving break my stuff. (Also, one thing I forgot to mention, that was a long while ago.)

EDIT: Oh, and until like, 5 years ago, my motto was if you're going to get in trouble, get in trouble for something you actually SHOULD get in trouble for.
