I saw a part of that once, episodes around 9/10-13 I think, and was given some backstory by a friend. Interesting, and also really violent.

I saw a few episodes of that and my only reaction was what the forget
Ergo Proxy is a good anime, but very 'philosophical references' and the like, plenty of episodes which don't server to further the story, plenty of character development and also flashbacks.
