The word "bad" is relative. It depends on your budget and what you want to do and what you need to do.

Broken link.

What are you planning to use the laptop as? Gaming? General web browsing/etc?

Budget?

Price does not matter for my family.

I plan to use mostly for art, drawing, comics, stuff like that. Maybe a game or two.

It would be good to get a small hp tablet with lots of memory and disk space. Images can take up lots of memory

You can probably get an idea of his budget by looking at how much the computer is and figure he wants a tablet by looking at the link url. Is that not enough info?

"Prices don't matter for my family"  Looks like I was wrong about having all the info >.>

If you get this thing, don't expect to be able to play any sort of games on it. I'm not kidding, even the low-end games may not run.
In fact, if you want to even "play a game or two", I'd look into getting this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834147990
Not only is it cheaper, but it has a better graphics chip, that should allow you to play quite a few more games.
Oh, and the hard drive's huge. (500 GB)
Has nice RAM, too. (4 GB)

I don't recommend that you use it for art, it doesn't have very good pressure sensitivity. In fact, there really are no suitable tablet pcs that are good when it comes to art. For drawing and painting, I would recommend a wacom tablet.

Why not just buy a wacom tablet instead?

I was going to get this one a while back http://www.hp.com/united-states/campaigns/touchsmart/notebook/buy.html
But I waited and got this instead, http://www.wacom.com/intuos/ it's is amazing :3

If you already have a computer that you can use get the Intuos 4 but if you don't have a computer you should get the Tablet pc.

If prices don't matter, get a loving desktop (unless you already have a nice desktop) and this -

The screens on these things are about the same as a Wacom tablet.
And yes, they do have pressure sensitivity. Hell, some of these even have a neat little stylus thing where you can flip the stylus over and erase things on the screen.
