Me and my band needed to make an original song so we can get on tv, This is only the demo we sent but it came out quite good.

Um.

I don't want to sound harsh.
But if this was on sale, I wouldn't buy it.

I mean, cool band and all. But.... Yeah.

I rated it 5/5 stars :D
Just because you have the camera sideways lol

-snip-
Ha, Well, As I said this was a demo we did in 5 hours; were starting to improve the song today.
The competition is on thursday.

You guys look rather nervous and stiff. Loosen up, move around, or else when you perform in front of a live audience, its going to eat you alive. The dude handling the levels on that mic want to rethink his position, as they are pretty bad and her voice cannot be understood, and it even feedbacks near the beginning, but that may just be her own fault.

In fact, you guys may want to hire a mixer if you don't have one, because everything is just fighting for its spot, causing it to sound like mud.

You sound like your song could be rather promising, but right now I can't even tell what it is doing. Hire a mixer, or find somebody who knows what they are doing, and get it mixed properly by the time you do it, or else you will be very embarrassed when you do a live performance. Mixing is vital, and the person must know their stuff, or else your song is worth nothing, regardless of your actual skills in playing it.

Also, if the last words were what I think they are, you may want to just not use that, as it will make you look like jackasses, and nobody will like you regardless of your performance.

1.Again, We had only 5 hours to throw up a song to send to the competition, This was the results.
2.This was recorded at a rehersal room with real bad acoustics, They are planning on redoing the acoustics of the room soon.
3.Mixing was a problem again, Because of the acoustics and also, The second guitar (my friend) was connected to the monitors aswell, Because we only had one amp, So the sound shuttered.
4.About the tense thing: We were tired as forget :P
5.The mix was done by our drummer, Who also added chorus to the vocalists voice and it didn't sound so good.
6.The show has a professional mixer oviously so it won't be a problem
7.We have a good mixer, He was in the milatary that week.
Now before every rehersal I warm up with the drummer and the bassist and play some system to get the blood flowing.

Alright, sounds like you have a plan. I just said that stuff because even if you are showing a demo, you at least need to make it sound the best you can, and I had felt it could have been done better even though it was just a 5 hour demo. Maybe get more equipment in the future so things don't clash. And tell your mixer he is not allowed to leave, ever.

Good luck with your performance.

Thanks trashman,

The thing is, This rehersal room is in a community center.
The equipment is quite plain and old.
We are working base wise with rehersals and make our sound work at the performance.
Also, We can't tell him not to leave :P.
After all, The milatry law forces him to go to the army, And we can't do anything about it, And he is more of a friend.

Practicliy speaking, Were not a band, We are just people who like to play togever :P
At first we planned to do a cover but the competition only allowed original songs.

I think if you guys played stronger you would sound a lot better, The lead singers style of singing does not really "fit" with what your trying to play. I don't know if that's what your going for but hey. Also work on the drums a little more

Did someone shout, "Yeah mondays," at the end of the video?

Any one ever see that movie The Rocker?

Take this out in your car, and if you can drive around for hours just jamming then you have a hit.

That was what I learned from that movie.

Also the solo sounds horrible with the rest of the ensemble. Too much distortion. And clarity. And all around musical similarity to the song.

Other than that though, it was ok. I mean, I hate this kind of music, but that's just my tastes. (To be honest it sounds like pop rock Kelly Clarkson kind of stuff, and I don't think that's what you were going for.)

That was me, Out of extreme handicap-flex.

And the solo came out stressed, Again 5 hours gentlemen.
Also, Our vocalists musical hearing sucks so were having a hard time to get her to understand that she is not singing right.
