3G phone.

Agreed, Get more than a few feet from a tower and it's not so much a "3G" network as it is a "what the forget is a G?" network.

Eh. The funny thing is, this phone's able to play speedtest, but for some reason, flash games refuse to run.

people need to remember that an amount of data is usually measured in bytes, while data rate of transfer from your ISP is misleadingly measured in bits.

you take your ISP's megabit / 8      (i think its how its done)
that's your max byte per second for downloading a file, up to with multiple files and computers sharing.
and even then, the site or game your on wont allow you to use a max speed of your choice and kick its ass on bandwidth.

I'm getting 100kbps and AT&T is making my mom pay loving $60 per month for this stuff.

I can't even loving convince her to switch to ANYTHING else, because she's being so stubborn for no reason.

Also half of 8mbps is still good, quit complaining.

Ahem
I didn't have the best signal at the time.
The ping's a bit cut off, but it was somewhere in the 400's.
And for some reason, it wanted to do the test nowhere near Arizona.

Oh, and another thing.
The average flash FPS for Speedtest was about 10 FPS.
So there's no way it'd give accurate results.

lame

lol 60 bucks a month can get you 8mbit on cable usually.
thats alot better then the 1-2mbit that DSL can maybe give you for the same price. thats like the new dial up.

even 8mbit is a minimum i would say.

Ran the test again..

Drop, if there's one thing I've learned from Comcast Broadband, it's not what it is. You're better off with someone else. Comcast broadband always gets fancy results in speed test but will never achieve even 1 mb/s.

I suggest Verizon FiOs, if they're not in the area yet then go for another broadband company.
Comcast always has given us bullstuff. "Lalala this lalala that" and expensive bills for internet that sucks.

Not to mention they actually tried to limit BitTorrent users :/

It's actually that. Yesterday I downloaded about 4 gigabytes of stock footage, and it didn't take long to download.

Comcast just sucks in certain areas, though. I used to live in some stuff part of the county, and Comcast was absolute stuff there. .50Mb/s, internet wouldn't work on weekends, etc. Now I live in an area with people that can actually afford things like internet, so I guess Comcast decided to focus on neighborhoods with more of a chance of people getting their internet.
