As you pick up the visor, it turns into a helmet, you put it on.

Then you scan the Panel on the opposite side of the room, the laser then dissapates.

Grab the diamond thingy and scan for any hidden doors.

You pick up the combat visor. This enhancement allows you to see how much ammo you have, what weapon you're using and what you are facing.

The Scan Visor you picked up can be used for scanning switches to activate them, get information on enemies, and get information on your surroundings.

You go and scan the switch on the side with the door. The metal gate opens.

Go trought the metal door that just opened. Equip Scan Visor and scan anything that is behind that door.

You are now in what seems to be an armory. A Soldier who looks like you although has full protection greets you in surprise.

GF Trooper: Hey Bob! You must have lost your Suit again, well I see you got the helmet. The rest of the stuff you need can be found in here, well most of it. Some bounty hunters got ahold of the X-Ray Visor, Thermal Visor, and some other weapons and enhancements that our reseachers are testing. Oh, and watch out for GPC 1, he escaped not awhile ago, the boss wouldn't be too happy about that.

Go forward, past the guard. Equip Scan Visor and search for the suit. If suit is found, scan it to see what abilities does it have, if any.
