Go to the space jump boots room and blow up the shield with your rocket launcher.
Then go to those dangerous stairs.

You pick up the Lab Pass and the Missile Launcher.

Scan Visor: "The Missile Launcher is gun that shoots a strong ballistic projectile. Plasma has been built into the ammo for extra power."


You pick up the space boots as well. Now all you need is the Grapple Beam.

As you make your way to the lab, you notice these bug-like creatures in tubes, as well as another tube which has been cracked open with shards of the material on the ground. Not to mention a human skull on the blood-caked floor. As you continue to walk in the lab, you encounter a human-like being standing near what you expect to be the new "enhancement" to your gun.
