Once you proceeded into the next room, you find two more Scan Modules and something that you now know is a dead space pirate after scanning it. Death is composed of the energy being drained from it.

Scan both scan modules.  Also, salvage the space pirate's weapons if possible.

The weapons are attached to its body. Even if you were to salvage them, you probably wouldn't know how they'd work.

Frigate Log 3: Metroid cargo is expected to ship towards Tallon IV in a few cycles.

Frigate Log 4: Our spies have reported spotting the Hunter's ship landed on Tallon Overworld. Attempting to do harm to this craft has a 100% probability of Self Delete.

Do this, then hitch a ride with the Metroid transport and attempt to find Samus the Hunter.

Look for some technology you can salvage. And the only way to beat a pirate with a power beam... is with a power  beam.

Save the Power Beam schedules and blueprints, if any.
