Author Topic: Are there any alternatives to Port Forwarding?  (Read 627 times)

I was just wanting to know because I can not access my router (don't know admin password). If there are any, can you help? Thanks.

Ask your parents for the admin password.
If they don't want you portforwarding, slap them.

The other alternative is taking the computer you are trying to host from and plugging it directly into your internet modem. Downside to this is that the computer you use to host will be the only one that gets internet, so this generally is a terrible solution.

if they don't know the password it may be a default pass still

look for a site that has a list
and here is a few things to try

name   pass

admin admin
admin (blank)
blank blank (just don't put anything)
admin password

I really did not understand that post there.....

I know an alternative, but you would have dial up.......

Also, anyone notice the "Spell Check" button?

Look on the internet for the default password if your parents haven't changed the password. (EX: Netgear's default Username and Password are
User Name: admin
Pass: password)

Alternative? DMZ. Not recommended.
