An old friend of mine did say that he had a program called SuperAntiSpyware that did kill it, I haven't tried it myself, but it's worth a shot. I would recommend running scans in safe mode (mashing F9 when starting your computer) so that the viruses are prevented from starting and preventing the fake programs block scans from legit antivirus programs.

Do this, trust me it has helped me for this specific problem. You can uninstall SAS afterwards.

Nah, my latitude is the ones with problems. I'm so superstitious about my desktop, I run scans on it every other night sometimes.

Answer to all your scamware/spyware/trojans, don't use IE.
If you already follow that, google "Spybot Search & Destroy", free program, it gets all the spyware.
If that fails, reformat and install linux instead :D
