Author Topic: [Final] The Rockford Cafe  (Read 2096 times)

Build finished. File has been lost.

UPDATE: [8/24] I added the second floor section, redid the roof and added a pretty inside. No furniture though. Literally deleted entire roof of the original and rebuilt. Now contains 1,060 bricks, thanks to the interlocking brick pattern.

TO DO:

Furnish.

===========================================================

Screenshot 1:

INFO: The new exterior. Before the update, it was just the bottom floor. The second floor is just for decoration. It is not accessible.

===========================================================

Screenshot 2:

INFO: This is the back wall of the cafe, facing the *back* wall. It was boring so I added the sign, which has been recolored from the last update.

===========================================================

Screenshot 3:

INFO: Just the back interior corner facing the lamp, where the patio is. Lots of windows, and the main doorway outside.

===========================================================

Screenshot 4:

INFO: From the back of the cafe facing out. Yay windows. :3

===========================================================

Screenshot 5:

INFO: A view of the entire cafe. I like the look of it, but still need a location for a sign outside.

===========================================================

Screenshot 6:

INFO: View top-down. The tops of the slants were bothering me so I just covered them up. Shows the general size.

[The lighter brick was the selected brick, forgot to hit 0 before taking pic]

===========================================================

Screenshot 7:

INFO: A view from the porch down onto the patio.

===========================================================

Like I said, this is my first real thing I've built on Blockland.

Constructive criticism. Feel free to rate X/10.

Thank you, Gage. :)

If you're using imageshack, At the bottom right, there's a section that says 'Get links and Codes for All Images', click BB Codes, or use the stuff in the box of 'Hotlink for forums (1)'. Copy and paste them. That should work. That's not bad for a first build too.

It's better than some.

Not the best, but not the worst.
I see spots where you could lower the brick count and make it look really cool. Also, try adding some depth to the walls, make parts go in and some parts go out; really adds to the beauty of the walls.
Lovin the windows, keep that up; also add some flooring on the inside of the building.

What he said.

Those spasms are coming because you take a DOF screenshot. Press Ctrl+P to take a normal screenshot.
Also, nice for a first build.

Beat me to it
My words exactly.

Yeah, I see a lot of places I could go back and redo some of it. I did also plan flooring.

So I don't even need to press Shift. Thanks.

Don't forget to add a kitchen.

Wasn't going to add a formal kitchen, just have all the equipment on a counter along the back wall and have a display counter in line with the windows closest to the back wall with a register and stuff on it.

Epic win, especially for a first build.
It's win that it's built on half of a dresser. xD

Thanks.  :cookieMonster:

I lost the save when I had to reinstall. So this blows. I guess I'll just make a better one later.

It looks kinda.... I don't know......Foreign like its from Africa...

Well I thought it was going good. Guess I was wrong. D:
