Ontopic: Thinking of getting a new Airsoft soon, maybe AEG (still thinking about it), suggestions? Not too expensive though.

Any good AEG MP5s?

Galaxy Mp5k is probably the best Mp5 available for around $100.

Going airsofting this Saturday, hopefully I'll be going more frequently :D I'll also have a new primary on Tuesday, hoping to sell my HK416 soon.

And I heard richard's Sporting Goods sells Airsoft. Are they any good at all?

I don't really feel like paying extra money for a gun to come in a week or 2.
I just want to know what they're like.

No, Sporting good stores only carries Cyberguns, Crossman, Umarex if you're lucky and then the stuffty no name airsoft guns. So even if you find a decent gun in the store you're already overpaying.

Regardless of price.

I mean quality.

richard's will sell you what you need if you're really that desperate

but if you can go for something with an actual name to it thats not crosman or cybergun.

I know about the whole actual brand/name/manufacturer thing. I'm just wondering what they were like. Quality of their stuff regardless of price.

Cheap, clear plastic guns that break easy for like $100.

Cyberguns, and Umarex rebrand guns. Umarex is higher end in comparisson to umarex, rebranding brands like VFC (416), G&G (Mp5s), etc but, it's unlikely you'll find any of these in stores as they only carry the stuffty guns. Cyberguns rebrands clones and chinese brands, Cyma, Dboys, etc. They might slap on a few trademarks and give it a "licensed nametag" but, no matter which way you cut it, you're still eating the same cake. They mark up the price because people who buy from sports stores are stupid.

In the end you're better off buying online. At airsoftGI any purchase of $100+ gets you free shipping and you can couple it with a %10 off coupon. (HOT or Tim.)

Do you guys use hi-caps or do you use midcaps?

Do you guys use hi-caps or do you use midcaps?
High cap, but I'd prefer it if everyone used realistic capacity magazines.

Do you guys use hi-caps or do you use midcaps?
Midcaps, I can't stand hicaps.

i bought a gun a year or so ago from richard's and it still works fine

its a crosman too lol

granted, its not half the performance i'd expect from one of my other guns but it still works.
Midcaps, I can't stand hicaps.

neither can i
