Author Topic: How do I make icons?  (Read 590 times)

When I try to make icons for my bricks in my brickpack, it has the white box for a background. How do I make it like other icons where it is not shaped like a square or rectangle? I look at other icons but the background color is black but ingame, there is no background color. Can someybody please give me a free program or tell me how to do it with paint? I have to make icons for over 500 bricks and I don't want them to be suckish.

Can someybody please give me a free program or tell me how to do it with paint?

You need the .NET framework though, if you don't have it, the program notifies you about it and sends you to the Download page in the microsoft DL center.

GIMP.
It has more features than Paint.NET, it's easier to learn, and making stuff with it is a blast.

I will have to try both.

Is there a tool that makes only one color transparent? It takes a long time with the eraser or deleting parts one at a time on Paint.NET.

IN paint.net, use the magic wand. The bar at the top adjusts sensitivity to color.

And set the Flood Mode to "Global" so it will select the same colors OUTSIDE of your selection.

Is Paint.NET suppose to overide the default paint?
