Author Topic: What game system should I buy?  (Read 3938 times)

Well, I've been planning on buying a new game system in a while. But I just can't choose. So, which one shall I buy?

Also, It may be nice to post what the goods/bads are from ____ console.
And, which kind Xbox should I choose if I buy one? (Elite, Arcade etc.)

Buy a gaming computer. If not that, it depends on your taste in games which system to get.

Now that you can download games, if you were to get an Xbox 360, get an elite.

How much did that one cost again?

Not sure, look it up.

I'd say stay with Wii.  But if you must, XBox

Ouch. 299$ at my local store. What exactly makes it better then the other ones? :/

The hard drive, comes with HD cables, has the Wifi card and some other things. Generally it is a good deal because if you bought all the extras by themselves it would cost you a lot more. However mine is heavily modified, for a lot less money I have a 500gb HD and a few other extras, knowing I could do this I just bought the arcade.

You're luck if this thread doesn't get invaded by a PS3 fanboy and I won't summon one. I'll just say this, In my opinion the 360 is the better choice but if you really want a way to choose between the two just look at the library of games.

>Implying the PS3 has a library of games

DSi is better for portability unless you did what I did when I went on vacation; getting a small tv and an AC to DC converter, then leaning back in the front seat with the tv in the back seat. Plug n' play.
Its DSiWare channel lacks good games except for Flipnote Studio.

Xbox 360 is good if you don't mind paying for wi-fi for XBox Live, which I've heard is very fun. Also, the XBox has many popular series such as Elder Scrolls, Halo(eek), and Call of Duty(also eek). Another thing: The graphics are amazing.

Ps3 has free wi-fi and also has many popular series such as Ratchet and clank(yaya) and much more. It also has Call of Duty and Some Elder Scroll games.
The graphics are good.

Wii is better for its wide variety of family oriented games and its wi-fi, but it lacks a large amount of good games. Graphics are baldsjdfk.

Xbox 360 is good, but only if you're willing to pay monthly for multiplayer and pay for updates to games and such. It also has Netflix :D

PS3 is also good, and has a Blu-Ray player. If you live under a rock, Blu-Ray = The next generation of DVDs. It can hold up to 50GB and has crystal clear image/sound.

Wii, eh, it's not good if you have a huge tv. Otherwise you'll get lag from games like Guitar Hero: Aerosmith and such. Personal experience at my friends house.

PS3 has crystal clear image/sound.

Lies. I compared the PS3 with my XBox on the same TV. With the same game. Both had the same quality.

PS3 has Final Fantasy on 1 disk compared to 3!  But really, PS3, lower fail rate than Xbox, Free PSN, HD out of the box (Doesn't come with HDMI) Some better exclusives. (I think.)
