Author Topic: What cables and stuff does a Gateway laptop need to work/have internet?  (Read 1187 times)

I have laptop nobody uses anymore, but it has no cord, cables, ect. What cables and stuff would I need to buy to get the laptop working, and have internet? If you me to tell you any info thats on the laptop, ask. It doesn't have any power so.....yeah.

You could get a ethernet cable or a wireless card.

Do you have a power supply?

If not take it to radioshack and they can hook you up

I think theres a battery if thats what you mean.

The battery isn't going to last forever...

Generally any laptop in the past 6-7 years has a built-in card. If not you may need to either buy a wireless card or use an ethernet cable if your laptop has an ethernet port.

How do I find my model number? I'm looking for chargers online =P

Taken out of context it sounds oh, so, wrong.

the model number should be on the bottom or somewhere on the inside of the laptop

I think the model number is M500B1 or something. I've seen that on alot of battery sites and stuff and its on the back of the laptop too.

Just take your laptop to radioshack.  They will find one that works.

Actually, my grandfather knows a guy who works on computers. I might get him to ask his friend to look at my laptop =P
