Also, add that 7zip is completely free, and it never nags you to upgrade anything.

WinRAR

Much more useful than WinZIP, but it has flaws. Sometimes the demo doesn't run out :o
I still have my demo.

VistaGlazz (Vista Only)

Ensures transparency for the Aero theme on Vista at all times, as well as the ability to patch your shell to allow custom themes.

No offense but whoever suggested this is an idiot. Aero automatically disables itself for a reason, so people won't complain about how half of their 512MB of memory is being eaten up by a theme.

ive had my demo for almost a year now lol.

iTunes

The most popular music player on the web.

Most popular doesn't mean good.

I agree, I only use iTunes to put stuff on my iPod, that's it.

songbird works for that

Major reason I don't want an iPod.
I would rather not sync everything my brother and I have listened to, infact not sync at all.
Drag and drop works fine and I plan to stick to that.

Try Personal Brain. It's basically a pretty cool thought organizer. I'll het a link in a sec, and it's somewhat hard to explain, but I love it!
Edit: here: www.thebrain.com

1. Songbird is not by mozillia. if it was thent here would be no problem with it and it would be in theuniverse repositiory, but sadly there is a problem with the permissions I believe, so its not :( Bottom line is its not by Mozilla.

2. VLC-Plays any type of music or video, comes with a ton of options to keep you happy

3. For linux
-compiz-Desktop composer! Makes everything look nice, makes the cube effect, and makes transparancy work well
-Wine-Allows things from windows to work on Linux
-Wine Doors-Even better capability for things from windows, needs wine.
-amarok-loveah music players, very good for making playlists in two seconds.
-WICD-Best network manager out there that I can find.
-Openbox-Doesn't work with compiz, but its one lovey windows navigator. Try it out!

4. DropBox-Allows you to easily sycronize files between two computers. Its a life saver.
