I am learning the solo for The Beast and the Harlot. It's so...  chromatic. I don't know how Synyster can even get away with this stuff, but he does.

Anyway...  It's a WIP, so I'll post my progress soon. For now, here is the song.

This is something to keep me occupied while I'm on hold with the Afterlife solo. No one can tab it, so I ordered the official transcription. I learned a good bit of it, but for stuff like this, learning it the wrong way can screw your muscle memory up.

Their newer (City Of Evil and newer) isn't too "hardcore." They have a ballad and a country song, haha.

Also...  this doesn't sound that great musically to me, but it looks EXTREMELY fun to play.

After you get a handle on that solo, you should take a look at Extreme. They had some awesome songs that came ripping with heavy solos. "Play with me" was a classic example.
