The more half-assed, un-...-thought..ed... ..comments you make,
the more your reputation dies in a bonfire. Which, in turn, the
smell and the smoke act as a signal to let us know: "Hey, that
guy's reputation is a burning piece of stuff! He must be a total
starfish!"
