Chase Cam
Following yourself, at any distance!

Description
Ever had a desire to be the cameraman? Well now you can! With this new mod, you can follow your player at any distance, yet still keep control! Simply bind a key to this fantastic GUI, type in a number, and off you go! Why worry about your flying abilities when you can just pop in a number and get better results!*

The number 50 is equal to about half a second (however, this depends on the server's ping)

*results may vary

Ok, for those of you who don't want the advertisement version, here's a rundown:

REAL Description
Basically, I just added a GUI to this console command: gameConnection.chaseCam(number here);  I also added safeties that keep you from going over 1000 and under 0 because those numbers can make Blockland crash. It is entirely client sided and will work on any server. This is my first RELEASED addon, so I would appreciate feedback. Thanks!

Client_ChaseCam.zip (Last updated: Tues Aug 25, 2009 8:16 pm)

Installation
Put Client_ChaseCam.zip into the Add-Ons folder in your Blockland folder.

Click Here to view this file on the RTB Download Manager

I created this post because mod manager messed up the rtb one.

I don't know how to use this, but it does sound good.

You bind a key to the gui, when you spawn, press the key. Type 50 then click enter.  You can try typing in different numbers; it will make the camera follow at a greater or smaller distance.

This is client-sided so it will work on any server.

Easier to do in console, and I do 100000 all the time and it never crashes.

You're an idiot.

Why do you two keep Flaming in my posts?  I said I wanted feedback, not you two calling me an idiot.
Feedback = constructive criticism.
Constructive criticism = Criticism that tells a person how to improve.

I said more than what Jimmy said, I said 100000 never crashes me and it is easier to do in the console.
Next add-on, don't make something already made. All you did was add a GUI to a console command but made stuffty cap limits on it.

1.  10000 may never crash your super computer, but I know people who crash from it, especially on laggy servers.  If you are really so against it you can either type the console command, or you can ask me to make one with a 100000 limit.
2. I know that all I did was add a GUI.  Many people in Blockland would rather use a GUI than type a console command because its easier.  That was what I was doing, letting others who don't understand the console use an awesome command.  The "stuffty caps" are to keep people from crashing.  I know that -1 will definitely crash people, that's why that cap is there.  The 1000 cap isn't needed but it's nice and people don't need to go over 1000 anyway.

You can Easily Do this with a Console Code. =|

Did you even bother to read the post above you?

It's not normal to put non-GUI code in GUI files.

Did you even bother to read the post above you?

Still seem Pointless. All it takes to type in a Console code is Press ~, Then typing
serverconnection.chasecam("###"); This just makes it Easier, For the Lazy Asses who can't Bother to, Hit a Button, Then type a few Words.

No one attacked Randy for making a substitude for typing canvas.setContent(NoHUDGUI);
