Author Topic: maps wont appear after saved  (Read 3219 times)

ok I just started making maps, I changed snowland into a desert and stuff.
then i saved it called sandy_dunes.mis(i think it was mis or watever it was)
but it wouldnt appear so then i tryed overrighting snowland which still didnt work so plz help its probaly some stupid simple thing....

YOu need to put it in it's own map folder.

EDIT:I'm having the same problem, but now i put the .mis file and other the other files that are associated with it and it still won't appear. So here is an image of what i have packed in its dictionary.

wth? why im just asking a simple question?
and im try to understand and to make maps don't get so pissed

If you can't figure this out then don't make maps.

I'm having the same problem... but the first time I made my map I overrode Alpines, and it worked just going to Alpines again.  But now, Alpines is back to normal, and even after I made another map and saved it under Add-ons, it isn't there to open, and when I load the terrain or texture nothing happens.  Please help =C

I have a suggestion for saving maps that I'm going to try as well.

1. When you are creating your map, go into World Editor Inspector (F3).
2. From there, go into mission info, then Dynamic Fields
3. Where it says server name, erase Snowlands or whichever map you are using, and type in your own map name.

I'm not sure if this will help, but hopefully it'll do something  :cookieMonster:

Way to be supportive ;(  I have a question... how do you get rid of the mirror that repeats the terrain (like on slopes).  Because I'm trying to just have a normal map, not one where it goes on forever =O

Maybe I'll use slate...

Just kidding =P I'm not as dumb as that... does anyone know how to change the terrain after getting rid of the terrain repetition such as on Alpines???  PLZ

You can't take away the "terrain repetition". And Alpines still has terrain repetition, you just can't notice it very well.

Wow... you can get rid of the terrain repetition... duh.  And ignore my posts people!  I figured all this crap out a long time ago.

K, make a map without terrain repetition, then release it, I would like to see it.
