Author Topic: I crashed.  (Read 4210 times)

My dad and I go on bike rides maybe every other morning. We got maybe a third of the way through the ride, and at that time it goes on a dirt road with a construction site next to it. The side of the road has water erosion paths of it where when it rains it forms little paths in the dirt. It was also sandy. It was a fairly narrow road, and a truck came around the corner. I was pretty much forced onto riding on the bumpy sandy stuff, so I went over there, and after the truck passed, I tried to get back on the road, my tire didn't make it, so I skidded and fell.

I skinned up my knee really bad and it was bleeding like forget and both my hands are skinned on the bottom.

It didn't feel good.

At least some of the people here are decent; one person saw me and stopped and asked if I needed help, offered a cell phone and some water if we needed it.

It was nice, but after she left, it got very hard to breath and every time I blinked, everything was super bright and white, so I just closed my eyes.

Pointless story, just thought I'd share that with you.

pointless? POINTLESS? dude, that's kinda serious if your eyes are forgeted up as well as your hands and knees being slightly skinned D:
have you got your eyes checked out yet? could be to do with the brain but still.

EDIT: the breathing problem is most likely to be shock.

At first I thought I just got the wind knocked out of me, but then I realized I hardly hit the ground. Then I just figured it was because there was a lot of blood on my leg and running down. Could have been minor shock, too, I suppose.

At least I didn't have to ride home, we rode to the cemetery that was maybe a quarter mile away and my dad left to go get the truck.

Yes, the most sensible thing to do after a crash that affects your eyes:

Tell a forum!

But in all seriousness, ow. :(

I'm fine now, it was three hours ago. I got home, took a shower, washed it out, went to Wal-Mart, my dad bought the next season of House, got McDonald's and went home.

My sight it fine now but I still have a minor headache.

"Son, you all right? You are? Ok, cool, lets go watch house."

go sleep.

Did for an hour. Still tired, though. It's tempting.

Rofl, that reminds me of the time he did make me crash. We lived in another town, and they had a bike trail next to a lake. He kept teasing and swerving over and his shirt snagged my handle bar. I guess you can intelligently (or unintelligently, for that matter) assume what happens next.

Land fire sharks came out of the lake and attacked you?

did you report it to microsoft or not?

Run a virus scan, you could be infected

let me guess. it's a trojaner!

I tried to ride with my feet over the handle bars and with no hands.
I too crashed, but it was loving hilarious.

At first, it was like all other crashes. Get up, brush off, and poof, you're better.

And you guys are dumb, damn techies!

I was riding my bike down a really steep hill. So, I hit a bump in the hill, lose my balance, and crash. I had road rash all up my arms and legs.

An example of road rash:
