Author Topic: RTB Development  (Read 380700 times)

The 21st was a Sunday and the spike was the result of the large amounts of traffic on Sunday nights. Monday is a school night so kids aren't on Blockland because they're doing homework and such. The same pattern is shown in the number of players & servers.

The large mound of activity on the left is Sunday night, with Monday night the next and tonight the one on the far right. You can see that Sunday had a lot more players over a longer period of time so more activity on the mod manager is expected.
I forgot it was a Sunday, but I'm glad that the graph finally(or is known know) to have movability.

The graphs are for my own usage so I don't build interfaces for them.

Ephi, someone recently uploaded an old set of prints to RTB. I don't really have any other way of contacting you or Space (Baddy got rid of my PMs) and I was wondering if someone could take them down or at least edit the author name to mine.

Yea not all people must own them!
Then i could change them or something or even delete them? :P

Perhaps you could make a sort of personalization kind of thing. Like Windows 7. Here is what I mean.

Instead of the plain Blue and Grey GUI, RTB should come with a sort of customization feature that lets you change the button color and such. If you look in the UI folder of Blockland you'll know what I am talking about.

So would you be able to do this or would it be too much crap to do.

Maybe when I learn more about scripting and coding I could help with this idea.

This would require moving files when you change your "theme"

I don't think it's really within the scope of what RTB does. It'd be better implemented as a stand-alone add-on.

Not really.

Not really.
Well, do you feel like changing the bitmap location of almost everything?

Well, do you feel like changing the bitmap location of almost everything?

There are multiple ways of doing it, it's just a question of thinking about all the options. Please try to avoid debating these sorts of things in this thread though.

You dun' like me Kalph?

But anyway, I was thinking that should be a stand-alone kind of thing.

I don't have any other suggestions.

Kay thanks Ephi for answering my question. Really appreciate the help, brah.

1) I have an email address both on my profile and the RTB website. I was hoping you'd work it out for yourself.

2) You didn't give any details about which file it was and I couldn't be bothered to play 20 questions with you.

I thought up of a system of doing this kind of thing while talking to Svenne about his Aero GUI. The problem would be that you need to restart the system, but it maybe probably wont be necessary.

Well you could recreate every single GuiProfile that uses a bitmap that is changed, and change their values, and change the bitmaps on every GuiCtrl that uses them and possibly change some of their values as well. So it is, in theory, possible. Just takes a hell of a lot of code.

And time changing it. But we shouldn't discuss this in this thread. Lets move on to RTB stuffs instead.
