Using plugins that export your current song data to an XML file (there's a shareware one for Windows Media Player and I'm pretty sure some free ones for Winamp floating around; no idea about iTunes) and fairly regular file checks (~once every ten seconds) we could assumedly update that status data, if we were given say 255 characters tops to play with.

But from what I've read there'll basically just be the preset statuses, not an MSN-style 'personal message'.

Thinking about it, perhaps it should tell you specifically what they are doing ("In-Game: Loading and Idle" "In-Game and Available" "Available on Menu" etc)

http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=98973.0 <-- I actually meant that. And things like it. Add-On's that can change your status for you if you let it.

Would be cool to interact with real music players, although I usually use Zoom Player, but just a idea.

There isn't a lot of horizontal space for long statuses so they're currently limited to "Hosting" and "Playing".

Hmm. Custom Status might still be... well, required later on. I say required because I'm sure there's more than a few people around used to it for such in depth messaging applications, and they'd likely want that ability. A text limit would of course be required, but perhaps in later versions.

You could make it display on just the info card and chat, or a tooltip shown beside their name or something when you mouse over it.

Custom statuses will never be 'required' you just want one
Id prefer a simple chat system, Its not like this is a stand-a-long client. Im only gonna use it when Im playing Blockland.

I agree, it's just that I expect a ton of noobs whining their heads off they can't make their status "pwnign noooooobz >:D".

I'm not going to waste my time making useless features so people can tell everyone which Justin Bieber single they're listening to.

If you content download Zombie Mod, it gets stuck. Even if you don't have the mod it gets all wacked up. You don't have zombie mod but it says so on the minigame page.

"all wacked up" ? This is not helpful.

I guarantee there is no way for the zombie mod to appear on your minigame page if you don't have it. You are doing something wrong.

No I am not. As with prints, content downloading goes to your addon folder. In the zip, they effect your game. The game thinks they are an addon, but don't have enough for bricks and stuff.

Wacked up, I mean the minigame menu has Enable Zombie ect there. Weapon Damage doesn't work, but works when I look for Gamemode_Zombie and delete it.

Content downloading doesn't download any scripts. You are doing something wrong.

Enable friendly fire.

I have the same problem, then happens with the mod, enabled or unabled, even before Content Downloading.
