What date is RTB4 coming out? :cookieMonster:

I've put together a list of about 20 people who will be invited to the v4 beta, so that leaves 80 places for other people to apply when the beta opens. This list mainly consists of people who have positively contributed in this development thread (asking when it's done does not count as a contribution). Those invites will be going out before everyone else is allowed to reply because I need them to test the application system too. :cookieMonster:

*drum roll*

When Wedge is back I believe.

Or When Ephi finishes testing?

Nope, he already stated that he will when wedge gets back.

Pretty exited, everything looks great as of now. Will you be able to link items from the mod manager to your friends?

You can already do that.

It depends if I want to try and put together the new interface now or wait until a later beta. I feel it will address a few usability issues that Wedge and Kaje brought up when they did some live testing with me, but the change can probably wait until another beta iteration.

You can already do that.
How would we be able to do that if we don't even have the messenger yet?

I assume he means writing http://rtb-id but this wouldn't actually work because of the way the chat parses urls (it only looks for valid ones). I will work something in at some point to allow you to link to files.

Perhaps you could base URL validation partially on protocols, allowing http://, blockland:// (for linking to servers, I could see this as being potentially useful), and working a customized rtb:// protocol into it for specific use within the messenger, and validating each of these differently.

So M you mean hyperlinks?

So M you mean hyperlinks?

Nope. It's a protocol.

http, ftp, etc.

Here's a sample of the revised interface I've been working on. Any comments/feedback would be good.
