I want to learn how to script and need some help

Ive had blockland for over a year now and wanted to learn how to scriptand have some questions:
What do i need to script, do i need to download something? (if so please give me the link)
What is something easy to script?

A PC but im on a mac laptop since pc is getting fixed.

try copying an add on and opening the .cs files in text edit.

ok i did that and was messing around with the sword file and tried to use the edit in game but it didnt work, what do i do to make it work?

go into the folder its in
then select everything IN the folder, ctrl click and click compress
then name it weapon_<weapon-name>, replacing weapon name with the name
then put it the add ons folder, and treat it like a normal addon.

there is no option to compress :/

if you have everything in the folder that contains your mod, drag select them all (but the holding folder) ctrl click on one of them(it keeps them all selected) and there should be a compress # items (the # should be the amount of files for your weapon. Also i recommend putting the sword in your v12 folder for the time being.

ok i selected all of them and ctrl clicked i still do not see a compress option :/

i have no idea im not familiar with macs this laptop is like 2 or 3 years old

is the apple logo in the top left corner black?
you should try selecting them all and looking in the menus up in the top bar.

No the apple in the top left corner is not black , I'll try what you said.
