Because a birthday is an important time in ones life, no matter how old the person is turning. Birthdays represent ones coming into life. And life is the greatest gift anyone can ever receive. Some choose to use this gift in ways that are frowned upon by others. Some choose to use it in ways that expand knowledge, some for attention. Another choice is the feeling to climb to the top of the social class, by taking down the weaker. I admit that I use this gift to get attention at times, but that doesn't keep me from using it for better ways. This gift is free and no matter who tries to stop them, people will express their own opinions and use the gift in whichever way they please.
