9-11. Who cares. People die all the time.

I agree with this. More people probably died in the minute after the day of 9-11 than in the actual incident.

how do you stop a plane from ramming into a tower randomly chosen by people you never knew were planning such a thing?  I am curious cus i think it may come in handy some time in the future...
Tighten airport security more. Oh, cool, they already did it. But it would still be incredibly easy to hijack/blow up a plane.

EDIT: If you guys valued human life as much as you say you do, you would have sold everything you had and donated the money to the starving people of the world. If you don't care about life more than your own stuff you don't deserve to argue with me.

That day ruined my birthday.

Well of course it won't be foolproof. Nothing is. Even your precious robots have faults and failures. Robots and machines are only as smart as their programmers. If a handicap programed your robot, then you'll have a handicapped robot. Either way, humans are better than current robots because we can adapt to an unknown situation. Robots only go as far as their programming dictates, otherwise they shut down and wait for instructions. You also missed my point on why a robot would need a car to maintain in the first place. It is it's own transportation.

You're right, and I do donate a bunch of things to charity. I could have so much right now, it's not funny. I could have very console ever made, the ultimate computer, a every game imaginable, and more. But instead, I give my money to my local trusted charity. I go to the old folks in their home and visit them, I play with the handicaps in the local Padua house, and I work at the near by nursury so the parents can make more money to help the child.

I donate too :D

Agree. People die in all kinds of catastrophes. Pearl Harbor, Chernobyl, Nagasaki, Hiroshima.
The only thing that makes this one different is that it was a direct attack on the U.S., which no country other than old Britain has had the balls to do.

Seeing how it was a Self Delete bombing they didn't have balls either.

Saying it wasn't a big deal is loving stupid.

In some ways, I can agree to this. It was one event and people need to get over it. But I don't want to become apathetic to death. "People die all the time." is a true statement, we have all been born to die, but it is still very sad when hundreds of lives are lost due to the beliefs of a few individuals. So in that way, I'll remember.

Besides the tragedy involved with it watching the plane crashing into the building and the huge explosion was pretty interesting.

I see it as this. If you grandpa died 8 years ago, you wouldn't still be crying about the day he died. But the fact that people say "oh yea, INSERTFAMILYMEMBERHERE died today, lets honor it" is stupid. Honoring said occasion to try to alleviate the pain only makes it worse.

I believe a metaphor of opening up old wounds applies here.

9-ll

wait what happened?

oh yeah... its one of my classmates birthday

1. Their idea of life is not the same as ours. Self Delete is looked down upon in our culture, while in theirs it's not. It's not a big deal for a crazy person.
2. It's not. It was said "December 7th, a day that will forever live in infamy". In 10 years, today will be another Pearl Harbor", something remembered, but no one dwells on anymore. It happened, it's over, and it started a war. Get over it.
