Well of course it won't be foolproof. Nothing is. Even your precious robots have faults and failures. Robots and machines are only as smart as their programmers. If a handicap programed your robot, then you'll have a handicapped robot. Either way, humans are better than current robots because we can adapt to an unknown situation. Robots only go as far as their programming dictates, otherwise they shut down and wait for instructions. You also missed my point on why a robot would need a car to maintain in the first place. It is it's own transportation.

And 9/11 is a sad event, but so was WW2. Nobody says "Let's seeee.... OH MY GOD! IT'S 5 DAYS AWAY FROM THE DAY WW2 STARTED! I BETTER GO MAKE A THREAD ABOUT IT!"
