Author Topic: Can you make Blockland Weapons in Sketchup?  (Read 813 times)

I just like how sketch up works, with its interface and stuff.

I was just wondering if it was possible to put a weapon from Sketchup into blockland.

You'll have to export it into something Blender or Milkshape or something can import.

You can use SketchUp. Export to a 3D Model, switch the extention from KMZ to ZIP. Open it, and extract the DAE file; that is the model file.
Import Collada 1.4 in Blender. I do not know how to import Collada in MilkShape.

What he said, import it into blender, then export it as something that can be imported into Milkshape, cuz milkshape does easier with joints and stuff.

The tank vehicle was made in sketchup.

Sorry im late.

Here's how sketch up works kidz.
You make a model, Either export it to .3ds or .obj.
Then, bring it into a "post processing" editor. Like milkshape, or blender.

Add joints and such.

But! First you need the model out of sketch up?
So how the forget do you do that Pandan?
Either you buy sketch up like i did.
Or you cheat..

Well, Cheating then cheap ass.
1. Save as .kmz file. (google earth)
2. Rename .kmz to .zip.
3. Extract the file.
4. Start your favorite program that can import Collada 1.4 files. (FBX converter)
5. Import the .dae file found in the models folder you just unzipped.
6. Do whatever else you need to do and export normally.
