The DSi has an online marketplace type of thingie on which, you can download games, DLC, and other shiz, kind of like the WiiWare thing.
It also gets updates like the Wii does. Imo, the DSi is alot better than the Lite.

The thing is, if he wants to put homebrew games on his flash cart, he can't update his dsi because it will block the flash cart.
