easy to replace or add new... scripts
Not really sure if Diggy made the code more modular this time or not, but it's always had a system where new lot types could be added pretty easily anyway.  The big thing was just making them work.

It's like living in an abandoned city, sharing your ideas on how you're going to go about resurrecting it back into the once beautiful city it was.
Don't forget relatively crime-free, too.  Although it was never even close that at any point, seeing how the last server was pretty much one massive gang war.

The first city had somewhat low crime rates for long periods of time, though.  Mostly only pickpockets and stuff, until carrot started kill spreeing and I started the assassin's guild :p
Hopefully, if Diggy adds safes like he intended to do, more people will focus on heists and stuff rather than forming gangs and raping the homeless of the only $25 they have.

Well due to popular demand, here's an update for you all: new lot types added, arresting system changed, many unnessecary guns won't make the new city and agriculture is a WIP. I'm planning on moving in a short time, about a week, and after that i expect to make progress much faster.  thank you everyone for the great suggestions, keep them coming.

Horray! I'm probably going to get addicted to Blockland again for the new city. Can't wait to see all the shiny new improvements!

Diggy should really bring back the ^disguise for assassins :l .  I had so much fun pretending to be other people and messing up money transfers :D   .

I really miss the first city when I first started playing on the server. I would suggest remaking a restricted building zone like Wellsk used to be. But still make it so I can break in with the grapple rope and make the so-called crime free town not so crime free.

It would probably be better off as a one-time use item or something, since that makes realistic sense.  But really, it's not totally necessary since you can just change your blocko to look like a blockhead or my favorite, the pine tree.

Will you be able to build mixed purpose buildings?

Will you be able to build mixed purpose buildings?
As of now, it looks like you'll be able to. If he goes on with creating Commercial lots, and Residential lots, he'll eventually want to create special lots for special jobs. Perhaps airports, subways, garbage facilities, or even gas stations will be optional through the purchasing of a lot. These are just a few of the many different lots he could create. But although these may seem like simple ideas, it would probably be a lot to control under the brick menu, so perhaps a lot Gui would be helpful as well. Nice job Diggy <3

Idea here is that you can live above your shop or something on a commercial lot, but you wouldn't be able to have a shop on a residential lot just because you also live there.  Basically, I plan on enforcing lots like this:

Residential lots: Houses, hobo boxes, inconspicuous below-ground secret bases, and, provided that there won't be a 'general' lot category, anything that doesn't fit into the lots below, such as parks, boat docks, garages, etc.

Industrial lots: Only for industrial builds.  These lots can have factory shops on them provided that they're using crafting events and not sale events.

Commercial lots: Shops that use sale events can only be made on these lots, but provided that it has a shop, you can also live there.  Commercial lots would also encompass restaurants, various services (such as lawyers, taxi companies, etc.), and probably gas stations if Diggy uses the gas mod, but I might let gas stations pass on industrial lots, also.

And obviously Admin lots are for whatever the forget we need them for.

Not sure if Diggy added any extra specializations, but going beyond 3 or 4 player-accessible types is a tad excessive.

I mainly dislike the being able to kill people who are wanted. Here's a story for you, I was laboring my ass off all day. Some idiot came up and stood behind my tree, I hit him just enough times to get wanted. He then killed me and took all my lumber. I went to go pay off my dems but someone killed me with my money and lost about all my money trying to pay off dems. Somebody then jailed me. Through all this I lost my clean record, all my money, and my 200 or so lumber. It makes no sense how you can get killed for just assaulting someone, pickpocketing, breaking and entering, ect. There should be different sorts of dems that you can get killed for. Example: 5 Accounts of assault and 2 accounts of murder. You can't get killed if you don't have any accounts of murder.

A great point there! Being a "Vigilante" should be illegal. The killing of a criminal should rest in the hands of the Police Force! Even then, the criminal might be wanted alive... Hmm?

You have committed a crime: Vigilantism -- The people are meant to watch, and witness!

And for the Assassins? Well, that could be a criminal job designated to killing other criminals or high authority. They don't get any slack here. Or they shouldn't.
I say, if the players want this game to be filled with crime, they won't be having a very fun time! Will they now...? And the innocent shall get fair trial! Of course, these are IDEAS. I don't know how it'll work out, but these are good ways to enhance the player's experience, and incorporate more reality into the system. Hopefully it'll be fixed in the future! Perhaps I might even work that out with my city rp!

Thing is, there were rules about jailbaiting and what happened to you.  I usually cleared the victim's record so they could get their old job back and banned the culprit for a variant amount of time, depending on how often they did it.

The idea of fair trial is stupid.  Do you know how much of a pain in the ass that would be?  You couldn't trust players with a role as judge, so it would be up to admins, and we really don't have time for that.  However, we do have time to simply correct the damage after it has been done or prevent it with the rules, but fair trial takes too long.

Also, being a Vigilante technically is illegal.  Of course, it might be a good idea to require a dirty record for vigilante, but we had problems with the job's abilities that made it a bit imbalanced.  But if you think about it, if you're a vigilante/assassin who does their job, chances are you'll be wanted, even if you killed to help players out.

Take my assassin's guild, members were given high-value targets based on those targets' involvement in gangs, or on those targets' involvement with the law.  Carrot aside, my guild members would take out people who were known criminals, even if they weren't wanted at the time.  We would also rescue people who were being mugged or assaulted, even if the attacker wasn't wanted yet.  That's kind of the point of being a vigilante, to help citizens even if it technically isn't legal.  Thus the point of me making the guild, to reinforce that aspect of the role play.  For example, they don't just let law-abiding cops be batman, it's up to us vigilantes and assassins.

other than me who was there when hoogle somehow got admin and was killing everyone with events every third minute

they don't just let law-abiding cops be batman, it's up to us vigilantes and assassins.
on that note, I would suggest only high level criminals and vigilantes/assassins have the grapple rope.
High level crimnals to represent super villains and vigilantes/assassins to represent superheroes

The g-rope isn't really a theme-based thing, though.  It's pretty much for people to get around fast and scale buildings.  But the only jobs that spawn with it are top criminal jobs and the mercenary line, so it kind of already fits that criterion of villains/heroes.
