Author Topic: Diggy's Metropolis Server  (Read 336623 times)

I reported a bug that includes the fire. After the bricks get put out from the fire, they turn red. Then you have to re-paint them. I hope the beta will turn out well. I am surprised that CeeCee, my friend, is admin on the best CityRP ever. I also had another question. Will you load the original MetroRP with Trenton, etc.?

in regards to the resources price: I would suggest making it so that the resources don't exist if nobody has sold them to the resource bank(or whatever it's called). The only problem that could occur with this is a labor union forming (which I had plans for) and taking over the market, deciding who gets wood and who doesn't.

Also, I would like to see ore gain a use, possibly you need to spawn cars, along with money, to represent the metal used to produce it.

This is for sure a good idea. Ill send you updated files when i get back tonight
Awesome.  I'm assuming that the ammo types are in prefs, right?  And is the reload function in the prefs, or somewhere else?  I'd like to make it so it accepts a parameter for time, and then we can set custom times for each weapon reload.  Also, mind sending me the job file?  I'll sort out the vigilante power balance, and I think it's about time to get rid of gladiators in favor of a doctor line of jobs.

Some bugs so far:
-Batons, as usual
-Bounty hunters can only perform citizen's arrests -- not sure if this is intentional
-Since certain weapons/items are missing, certain jobs don't spawn with what they should. i.e. jack hammer, etc

We know about the fire issue, it's pretty much because it wasn't adjusted to the server's colorset.  And the new city will be a throwback to the old-old one with some of its buildings and similar terrain, but with some elements mixed in from the old-new one.  If that makes sense at all.

That's a very good idea. But there needs to be more than just metal to make a car. You need electricity, fuel, and oil. The fuel, oil, and electricity can be in the mines where you can convert the fossil fules into fuel, oil, and electricity. You should also make a thirst mod. You can collect underground water, or ocean water that can become freshwater for you to drink. It acts just like the hunger mod, but with different needs.

Ha ha, I like how when most of you have ideas, it falls under the path that Iban is taking with his CityRP. Not bad ideas, though. <3

@Niliscro
Are you just modifying weapons to work with the reality of the server, or are you creating new weapons, cause that'd be loving awesome. >=P

A power grid would be pretty sweet, I'd have to agree.

Nah, I'm just picking certain ones out, rebalancing them, and removing some of their features like the crossbow's ability to penetrate bricks.

Will the city be bigger for more lots, the current city is small.

I've been recently crashing in this server, I've no idea what caused it, I crashed about 3 times today.

EDIT: I noticed it was the chainsaw that was keep crashing me, any idea to fix this?

I think that you should load the old map far far away from the draw distance, take up all the lots and make it a memorial :D

 Also I need money.

Bam, preview of newest ad intro so far is up on youtube.

Go watch it now and see if you like and yes it's completely stuffty in some parts and needs more editing but I didn't feel like going total all out on it yet.

<3's for the previews.

@Yorktown95
It's all in progress, bugs will be fixed as he goes. Some other people have been having the same problem, so don't sweat it.

@Niliscro
It's still cool to see you in the works, especially since I've only known you for your building and administration.
Also, I talked to you about a power grid system before, but you denied it, it was too "complex". Lol, that was like one and a half years ago XD

CrazyCrypt is threatening to crash the server by multiclienting.
Although because he's idiot, he thinks that multiclienting can crash the server, which I don't think can.
Silly boy.

Remove chainsaw add-on and folder from your add-ons, re download from diggy's server.

Yes, at least the size of the old-new one.

I've done a few jobs and weapons changes here and there.

It might have been the specific way you suggested it, knowing you.  But I'm not completely sure if it's something Diggy is capable of, however there was a power mod that required users to place certain bricks to use x number of events on Yayfun a long time ago.

If anything, we would use something similar to that.  You would have to buy these little bricks (probably 1x1 or 1x1 plates) that once you place them on your lot, you can use events.  They would charge you a small fee (no more than $8) per tick depending on your lot size.  IF you wanted to get really fancy, they could charge you more or less depending on how much "power" you use, aka how many events you have.

Server just crashed.
Due to CrazyCrypt?  Multiclienting can cause problems, which is why it's against the rules.
