$200 for a punishment?
God damn, that would be insane.
Spending $200 for a punishment is really stupid.
...
Obviously there's got to be a good reasoning behind this, otherwise his parents aren't really thinking straight.

Or it's a punishment for doing something stupid.

Boy, some random RL drama sure has gotten fun!

Fun fact: Unless you plan on being a physicist or something, a good portion of what you're taught in school (Namely math) after the 5-6th grade is useless.

Right, I have no idea what a parent is considering I live with two of them.

And no, my logic does not say that any adopted child has no parents. It says that any guardian of a child who does raise them to adulthood is not a full parent.

Also, just because people yell at children because they make mistakes that the parents have done does not make them good parents.

Your whole approach is "I'm just going to sit here on this forum attacking people who are half my age and more naive for doing exactly what I did at their age."

...
People don't speak vietnamese in Europe, its a sate of money, if they had a reason, they would make him take french, german, spanish, or italian., or even dutch.

...
I read that, but still.

God damn, THIS THIS THIS.
Currently, I'm stuck in an Agricultural Science class at my high school.
Now, what good is knowing about how animals are killed and used for food going to help later on when I go into a university designed especially for learning about technology/game design?

Plus, I'm getting the exact same things taught to me in math, that I knew in 7th grade.

Well it's called the tourist trade, my friend. You never know what language you'll need in Europe as a large variety is spoken there. Much like here in Duluth. You wouldn't think there is a lot of need for people to speak German, but we get a large amount of tourists from that area and people are needed each year to translate for them. You make good friends that way. I know when I got to Germany next summer, I'll have plenty of help should I encounter a problem.

Yeah. well I was thinking of working in a place where social activity isn't very high.
Anyways, I've finally convinced my parents to drop me out of Sunday school. But now I have to cope with one of them home schooling me for 2-3 hours on saturdays. As for the money, they're getting a refund.

So then that means I do know how to be a parent because I have two of them as well. Your whole argument has now failed by your own logic.

A parent is a relative term. If a child considers you a parent, then you must be one.

It depends on what the kid did really. 99% of the time it's justified.

You only assume I attack people. It's been your personal crusade to do nothing but bash me since I made a reply. Seems like you do the same thing. Nice Job Hippocyte.

Secondly, it's not as if I can help my age or the time of my birth. Bitching about using my age as an advantage in this fight is not that much ground to argue about. You might as well say I'm wrong because I'm white or that I'm an jerk because my hair is brown. Just useless to point out constantly.

I don't plan on going anywhere.
Plenty of people don't.
Yet for some reason they're forced to learn EVERYTHING regardless how irrelevant it is to their plans for the future.
Now in the early grades, because a child usually won't know what they'll do in the future ("I wanna be an astronaut" doesn't count), so it's reasonable to teach them some of every subject, but by the 6-7th grade, a child should have plans, and thus be able to choose what they would like overall, yet this only occurs in college.

tl;dr Educational system blows.

This I can agree on. But he isn't being forced to learn everything, just a foreign language. But I digress. :)
Hypocrite*
Yeah, Spellcheck is being a real head case today. lol

Eh, I just can't stand not correcting people sometimes. It's a huge urge I get.

No problem. Spellcheck sure wasn't doing its job, nice to know I can get better service from someone real. Another argument why people are better than robots. Forgot who was griping about that the other day. lol

This may have been said, but...

I did went to Vietnam before, it sucked. The mosquitoes and the hot weather was a drag.

Damn, son. You really shouldn't be worrying about Vietnamese when you write stuff like that.
