Author Topic: I've been an idiot. :(  (Read 1853 times)

I've looked through my earliest posts, and I was, or was very close to, appalled.
Why?

All those were me before April 2009.
I've thought over what I've done, and decided to absolutely not ask for forgiveness, because that's how many people become more hated on the internet.

What I've learned about "myself" on the internet:

1: I'm sometimes impulsive and annoying
2: because of my naturally indifferent nature, I take only a few biases, but when I have one, I stick with it.
3: I don't explain everything.

These three attributes can make me incredibly annoying to people who think "inside the box".
Now, that isn't always the case, but as seen in the recent "Mac Vs. PC" topic, it can.
In the topic, I posted a (partially, and obviously, falsified) post where I named why Mac is better for video editing, and while it wasn't particularly biased, it was intentionally showing the flaws of Microsoft Windows. People answered with the obvious "bullstuff" posts.
I posted a reply, obviously saying that the RAM memory call "fact" on the Mac was most probably bullstuff, and that I was probably right about Windows accessing data slower. people still posted "Get out" and "horsestuff."
Tangent for a moment.
The smaller amount of data from RAM to the CPU is caused by BOTTLENECKING, which is caused by both programs running at high usages of that memory, and a low amount of connections in the CPU and motherboard. Vista, without upgrading from the 2GB of slightly earlier generations of computers, can start bottlenecking quickly.

From one of my other posts, which I will display accordingly:

(Gee, this will sound like a history assignment)
I hate fuzzys because they are evil. JUST. LIKE. ROBLOX.
Obviously one of the few examples of me bandwagonning. This is stupid. Do not post in all caps, especially about ROBLOX Vs. Blockland or Mac Vs. PC. It will get you nowhere.

To older members: Yes, I was an idiot when I first joined, and I sometimes still am, even now. I don't need consolation or forgiveness, because I believe it's better to learn to cope with rudeness and seriousness in the real world.

To newbs/noobs: learn from my mistakes. While I haven't become particularly hated or despised (as far as I know), I have made errors that I now regret.

To Placid: I'm not sure what to say. You have joined later than me and have made less stupid posts, but your post count has skyrocketed. more posts doesn't mean more reputation. In fact, you could lose rep from making many bad posts, even after you have enough reputation to become a veteran forum member. You might be my brother, but I have no remorse for people that try to get their rep up when it's unnecessary. I have helped you with builds, mods, and various other things, and what do I get in return? Nothing.

I joined the forums in mid-May 2008, and soon after, I bought Blockland. At that time, my name was GhostOfBetaTapes, my name on both these forums and the RTB Forums.
I changed my name to 8-Bit mid-2008, I believe, and in late 2008, I changed my name to Fomee, but it wasn't kept, as nobody recognized me. I only got one "hater" over my whole Blockland "career", and that was while I was Fomee.
I hope to not get anyone else that hates me :( because they tend to stalk me and spam unnecessarily because of me. I intend not to drag trouble with me everywhere I go, but it somehow happens. In Blockland, at school, and wherever else I go.

with that I end my wall of text.

tl;dr: I've been an idiot.

I haven't noticed

But whatever, you're forgiven

I've never really minded you, but you seem respectable.

You seem like an okay person, and we are all like this in our beginnings. Even Otis.

No worry br0.
You're still cool with us. :D

Quick, Kalphiter break out the achievement!

Anyway, I didn't notice anything. But I'm glad you're humble.

Maybe not on the forums.

Back in the ol' days of me being 8 or 9 and playing Age of Mythology online I can't even believe I grew a brain/balls.

And to myself...

Isn't everyone like that at first?

Anyways, I forgive.  :)
