Art trade is where two or more artists draw each other's characters or ideas.
Like say I made up a TV guy and somebody else made up some new cat thing whatever. I would have to draw the cat thing, and they would have to draw the TV guy I made up.
Which means I think Valen is doing it wrong, or doesn't know the term himself. It looks like he's drawing something FOR somebody. Not drawing their character as well as having them draw one of his. Please make sure you know the meaning of terms you use, as that is not art trade.
