The forums and aot website use one server, the bl website and master server use another server, and the aot server uses another.

It's quite obvious that such a good master server has to cost much.
Imagine he would have one that would've only cost about $10 a month. I don't think blockland would be what it is. Besides that, how much player could run and join a server? 5/5 max?

I hate to break your bubble, but the master server doesn't have a very big job

It handles simple open-close packets for authentication from servers, simple POSTing to the master list, and displaying the master list.

No, because it does authentications, and controls the server list.

Yeah, if the Master Server didn't exist, Badspot would have ripped us off by now.
