The worm is trying to tell you to be original and to make your own artwork style because that style is slightly overused, he's just telling you in his... wormy way.

My (primary) art style was born from my own being lazy. Ironically enough, I've developed it so much to the point the conflicting amount of detail and the cartoonish body's are pretty much just for stuffs 'n giggles.
Probably the most lazy part about it is that the hands are essentially mittens, unless for a commission or a serious project.
