Author Topic: Encounters with wild animals  (Read 1948 times)

Most of us have had brush up with critters, from a mouse in the house to a possum under the porch. Let's post about our experiences with these critters.

I have a couple. First of all, it turns out I have a possum under my porch. First thing I thought was "Oh god they'll eat the chickens". My dad says they only eat baby chickens, so I have no worries(our oldest chicken is about 9 years old). Apparently the possum will eat slugs and bugs, so my dad is inclined on making him stay.

About a year ago, I had just gotten out of bed. I was still in my "morning mode" when a goddamn bird flies into my room. I somehow stay calm and scoop him up from behind my brothers bed.

And finally, a couple days ago a chipmunk got into my house. My cat must have brought it in, because I see my cat chasing after a cute little chipmunk. Cue me chasing around the chipmunk through the bathroom and finally giving up after it gets lost in the living room. After the chase I stood watch, and when it finally scurried out of the piano I tried to direct it out into the open. It went back to under the piano, and the day after it went into the kitchen(finally). I think it went outside.

That's all I can remember off the top of my head.

A bear searched through our trash and ate stale Goldfish.

A wild deer ate dog food out of my hand once. Really cool.

..... i saw a bird once at close range....ya i kinda epicly fail

I encounter a wild animal every day.
OH!

I fed my dog the other day.

Lol, just joking, my dog sniffed a Javelina at close range.
