hmmm Yay for obnoxiously athiestic athiest.
Based on what you said, that atheism is lack of a beleif, you sure are hard pressed at getting us to beleive you...
Aaaanywaaays... I have seen way too many of these threads and know pretty much how the conversation has probably been going up until this point.
"lololol no god"
"no u will burn in teh hellz"
"no fu god is dum"
"Actually, good sir, I disagree, for various reasons."
"Well I disagree with your disagreement, for these reasons that counter everything you said"
"That does not seem fair that you are so nit-picky, mr.atheist"
"Ah but I have proof of nonexistance of god, with these reasons"
"Fallacy of logic, you cannot prove something to not exist"
"But yet you cant prove that it does"
"ur dum"
"lololol no god"
Wash rinse repeat.
My opinion that you all probably dont give a damn about:
(Oh and to skip at least one line of people saying "lololo ur dum" I have already supplied the first teir of argument on each of my main points)God created everything, God watches over everything, God has influence on everything.
~Counter argument: How can one thing create itself and create everything, this is stupid
~Counter-counter argument: qutie so, but I prefer to beleive God as more of a force, as more of an entitiy, than a singular being. God's existance is just that he exists for the universe to work as an extention and plan out the way it does. Why? I dunno. Who am I to try and comprehend things...Humans have free will. In a sense, humans have created hell due to their choice to go away from God.
God does not like this, he does not want us to go to hell, but it is what we chose to do.
~Counter argument: why did he give us free will then if he knows we will choose suffering
~Counter-counter argument: well at least we have the free will to ask that question, choice is importantGod sends Jesus down to act as a sacrifice that way people dont need to do all this ritualistic stuff.
~Counter argument: that is dumb because the sacrifice itself is dumb/we didnt need this
~Counter-counter argument: judaism was founded and went through the family of israel and his fellow people. everyone in this region was extremely barbaric. perhaps the reason why they were chosen first was to server sort of as a proof that mankind, even when corrupted to the highest degree, can choose to follow a will greater than themselves. A way to show their humility to the universe and to God was to offer sacrifices. Jesus removed this need for ritrual on the condition that they accept him as the higher power and thus are accepted as choosing what is right, of choosing God. ~Sub argurment: Only christians go to heaven (can be argued by either side that isn't mine)
~Counter-sub argument: No, only people who follow the will of the Lord do. Heaven is more of a state of unification with the greater good, with the universe, a sort of in-synchronization. This is acheived by doing things for the greater good or accepting the greater good as the right path and at least choosing to try it. Choosing God. It is completely possible for someone to choose the right path, and to choose God without accepting Jesus or any organized religion, but that probably makes it harder. ~Last point: I am not in a specfic religion though I associate with christianity the most, religion itself is really loving stupid. But it is needed for some people to help them in there lives to maintain order, and to be provided with insight moreso to what greater plan there may be. Also prayer is good in that it gives you basically a meditative thing of which to reflect upon the world upon life, to express humility to the Lord, try to energetically right things, etc.The Bible is incorrect about many things. I merely serves as a general guide to how one should live their lives, and a record of past events. The old testament served as a guide for how one should best attempt at following the right path on their own, though its not needed exactly now. Plus with all the translations and such, and the fact that it was written by man in the first place, it isn't going to be completely accurate.
~Counter argument: you probably dont hate this as much because im actually saying stuff against religion there so yeah...
~Counter-counter argument:but this doesnt mean i dont think the bible is a good guide to what you should do, at least reference it, it could provide some spiritual insight. Also, soemthing else I should mention as its own statement so that I can put an argument point to it:
All the above statements are my beleifes
~Counter argument: thats dumb, everything is calculated, everything happened through checmical reactions and evolution
~Counter-counter argument: quite so, but the overall guide the Lord has given to life taking the form it has is rather influential. Also, freewill and such ~Counter argument to free will: free will doesnt exist, checmical reactions, calculations
~Counter-counter argument to free will: chaos theory, if we can make descisions on any level there has to be an underlying thread the universe contains for such ideas to formI am not going to go into my beleifes about angels, souls, energies and other such things right now.
