Author Topic: Pink Floyd: "The Wall"  (Read 1824 times)

I now have a double-disc of Pink Floyd's "The Wall" (The music, not the DVD yet). So far a fantastic album, this is how legendary albums are made: They tell a good story, and it's such a fantastic metaphor. The songs are so fluid and fantastic, the guitar tells a story all its own. The lyrics are smart and everything about the music is just perfection. I think Pink Floyd has actually created something perfect, absolute perfection with "The Wall" and of course "Dark Side Of The Moon".
Just, wow. I'm in awe. Long live Roger Waters and David Gilmour.

From The Wall:
Hey You
Comfortably Numb
Another Brick in the Wall Pt 1
The Happiest Days of Our Lives (This and Pt 2 combined are the radio version)
Another Brick in the Wall Pt 2
Another Brick in the Wall Pt 3

From Dark Side:
Breathe
Time (Probably one of their best songs)
Money
Us and Them
Eclipse

But for the best experience, listen to the entire album front to back non-stop.

I was a Pink Floyd fan for awhile, and yet this was more of thier best albums than the later years.

It all ended on Animals.

Wait to you see the movie. Animals has always been my fav. album

Animals came out before The Wall.

Also, I don't think any one on this forum is a bigger Fink Ployd fan than myself.
