i went on for 10 min and found a very nice glitch, besides the messed up jailing....
(like...log on officer shaun, jail time 4 min, officer shaun logges out, plang loel logs in, jail time 4 min, you are free, plang loel logs out, officer shaun logs in, jail time 4 min)

since i found it in 10 min, it shouldn't take you guys more then 2 weeks :O

The IP jail system didn't replace the jail-by-player, thus you get each characters jail AND the IP alias lists jail.... so I guess the IP jail never actually goes away in some cases... so you will have to server 4 mins everytime you go on another char from that IP. (idk maybe this is it)

i think of it as more like a viruse, dont log on any other accounts until jails over

Yeah you could think of it as acting like a virus, it sort of screws with anything you come in contact with.
But I haven't been in jail for a long time now....

I rigged it specifically to do this. It avoids unnecessary complications with things like getting jailed for one minute to spring another character who is jailed for 2 hours and all sorts of other situations.

All jail time is treated the same: if you log out while in jail, that jail time is tied to your IP address and will be re-applied to the next character you log in as. Unless that new character has an even longer jail sentence, in which case that new longer value will become your IP jail record.

The best solution is to serve your time when you get it.

Also, there's a new way to grief people: Make an account and get it jailed for a few hours, then leave the game for a while (jail ip records are reset every hour or so). Then come back and trick people into logging onto the jailed account. Have fun!
