First off, this changes your name color no matter where you are. No events needed. +1
Second, if uniforms are enabled, you can't change your avatar color. This will. +1
Lastly, if you have uniforms off, most people have a "no changing avatars" rule. If not, refer to point 1. +1

It should be with a "Hide Name In a Minigame" Mode, because smart people will know that your not on their team.

Think about it though. Then the smart people would look for people without a name.
