Hi, I'm not new to the game, and i know how the dup wand works, but both me and my friend have the same problem, we can't duplicate our own pieces :S but we can dup each others :S ... why is this!? ios there some new update or.. what's happening :P?

There's a new version of the duplicator; get it off of RTB.

You have to download the new duplicator add on, V12 broke it, fill can also has to be redownloaded.
