Author Topic: Sirrus' construction color set.  (Read 7554 times)

Hey everyone.

I needed to make this color set for some builds that I had coming up I wanted to do, so I thought I'd release it to you all. It's basically the basic color set with softs dropped, and in their place I added the following categories:

Brick & Mortar- All generic brick colors and two mortar colors.

Stone & Metal- The first three colors are sampled from Granite, the next three from a Bluestone floor and the last three are structural steel, galvanized steel that I tweaked a bit, and brushed aluminum in that order.

Wood-  Quite a few possibilities here, the colors were sampled from, in this order: Cherry, Redwood, two samples from Oak, two samples from Walnut, and several generic wood colors sampled from plywood.

Pictures!
The whole set.

Some suggested uses. (Please note, I did horrible on the brick wall. it'll look a lot nicer, I think, if you use flats instead of whole bricks. Also, the wood floors should be used probably on larger floors.

That would makes me want to make a wood grain print. I might have one of those in store for later.

Installation: Backup default color set in Blockland/config/server then overwrite colorSet.txt with the downloaded file.

Cheers.

Nice job, I might use sometime.

You pretty much just replaced softs with browns, then added 2 more rows of browns.

Fail.

Its ok Sirrus, but you should make it use RTB so you can change them. I also thought you were inactive too.

But there aren't any more softs D:

I kind of was, for a while. I'd be around here a lot more if I played Blockland more. I've been playing a lot of other games.

But there aren't any more softs D:
I used bold too much to get rid of that and getting rid of transparents would be like taking away half the blocks, so that left me with softs.

Sirrus is cereal about his color set.

Why didn't you .zip it? All you gave us was the .txt.

Do you really need 1.06KB of information compressed?

If it's that big of a deal to you, I'll do it just for you and email it to you... assuming you can receive email on your Commodore 64.

all he did was move the colors around and add 1 row of browns!

I was just asking why. No need to be a jerk.

I already did the zipping and I added the description so it will show up in game.

EDIT: By the way, nice colorset. I can see a lot of uses.

You spelled wood wrong.

why'd you even have to get rid of a row, do you realize that some of those colors are almost identicle?
