I compile it on an intel mac but I do select both PPC and i386 architectures.  I'll whip up an i386 only build and you can see if that works.

Still quitting unexpectedly on startup.

Well that was a good shot badspot but still it refuses to open and is doing the same exact thing.

I confirm the above two statements.

I built it again with a slightly newer SDK, give it a try

Ok it is telling me that it quit unexpectidly.

I can upload a crash log if that helps

It pulls up the same kernel protection error every time it crashes. Sending this off to apple.

By the way this is the new mac book pro 2.53GHz processor with 4 gigs of ram with 10.6.
