I don't feel superior, I am.

Yup, I can edit to make you look bad too. You just read what you want in the posts and ignore the rest. That just proves everyone's point.

That sentence wasn't taken out of context. You made a statement and called it fact. I am not requesting to be acknowledged as superior, as I do not believe there is any measurable way to decide who is superior than whom.

That sentence wasn't taken out of context. You made a statement and called it fact.
Did you even attempt to read the rest of what he said?

That sentence wasn't taken out of context. You made a statement and called it fact.
Yes because it is true. There are any number of people on this forum that are better than you. That is fact. Just because I count myself as one of them has nothing to do with the argument. Just like anyone who plays professional sports is better than me. Just like anyone who won a Nobel Prize is better than me. That is fact. The fact that you feel you have to argue with that statement also belies that you have a superiority complex and have to try to prove me wrong to justify yours.
Did you even attempt to read the rest of what he said?
No he didn't. As I said, he reads what he likes and discards the rest.

I don't feel superior, I am. It's not arrogance, it's not being a richard. Could have fooled me.
Experience and fact simply state that. What the forget?  The simple fact that you're older makes your word more significant.  That's like taking a 70 year old bus driver and saying he knows more than a Harvard graduate.  So what if the graduate is a bookworm with no practical experience, he is vastly superior to the guy who has driven a bus all his life.
Just as there are many people who are much better than me. Badspot for example, is better than me. I can concede to that. Bisjac is better than me in some ways. I accept that. You need to pull your head out of your ass if you think Inv3rted is worse than you in every way, shape, and form.  Sure you might be better at some stuff, but it's extremely arrogant to say you're better at everything
You, however, have shown me to be rather childish, offensive, and insecure. But you also make a lot of good arguments, which I have stated on other threads, so at this point in the argument, I can't admit you as better simply because you haven't changed my choice of belief. I've read almost every post made by Inv3rted and I can't find a single thing where he comes off as childish or insecure.  He is offensive only in the face of sheer stupidity
If that ever happens, then I concede your supremacy. But I really doubt that will happen.  As soon as you have been out on your own and gain some valuable life experience that I have had the time to obtain, I can't consider you superior. It will happen for you soon enough and then you'll have a better understanding of this so called arrogance and superiority you claim I exhibit. As I said, it's not a personal thing, it's fact. Just deal with the fact that you're not almighty yourself and try to peg people down to your level with any more petty insults. What still surprises me is that you can't even treat him as an equal.  His points are all valid and he welcomes feedback and retorts.  Whenever you feel yourself slipping, you whip out the senior citizen card you keep in your wallet.

What me to go through it sentence by sentence?

I don't feel superior, I am. It's not arrogance, it's not being a richard. Experience and fact simply state that. Your parents are better than you, there are many people better than you.

Superiority is a very general term. One or two aspects does not decide superiority. As I said, nothing really can. I'm better at Team Fortress 2 than my dad, and I've got a stronger body. Does that mean I am superior?

Just as there are many people who are much better than me. Badspot for example, is better than me. I can concede to that. Bisjac is better than me in some ways.

Better =/= superior in the way you are using it. Everyone is superior to everyone else in some ways, but you are using superior as a general term for relations between persons.

I accept that. You, however, have shown me to be rather childish, offensive, and insecure. But you also make a lot of good arguments, which I have stated on other threads, so at this point in the argument, I can't admit you as better simply because you haven't changed my choice of belief.

There are too many variables to decide who is superior than whom, and therefore the term used in a general sense should be incorrect.

If that ever happens, then I concede your supremacy. But I really doubt that will happen.  As soon as you have been out on your own and gain some valuable life experience that I have had the time to obtain, I can't consider you superior.

You can't decide who is superior or inferior than whom no matter what. There are too many variables.

I have been told many times that my use of insults in my arguments does not help at all, but I resume doing so. A personality flaw, perhaps. Maybe even a form of aspergers. But this does not decide the inferiority or superiority of two beings.

Slovensk_Rex: but ya I said that it wasn't really being good if you were doing it for eternal reward
Slovensk_Rex: that's not a reason to be good
Slovensk_Rex: that's like being paid
Slovensk_Rex: that's not charity
ONeill: SANTA CLAUSE
ONeill: BE GOOD 4 PRESENTS
Slovensk_Rex: yes
ONeill: BAD 4 COAL
Slovensk_Rex: GOD
Slovensk_Rex: BE GOOD 4 HEAVEN
Slovensk_Rex: BAD 4 HELL

ONeill and I make out often in public.

Depends, does the amount of things in which you both are superior to one another outweigh one or the other? Or is there a clear winner? I'd have to say your dad is superior simply because he has far more experiences in life than you have yet to gain.

Better =/= superior in the way you are using it. Everyone is superior to everyone else in some ways, but you are using superior as a general term for relations between persons.

As does the rest of humanity, otherwise, what's the point of rewarding people for competitions? That in itself shows a flawed human value. Everyone is guilty of it at one point or another.

There are too many variables to decide who is superior than whom, and therefore the term used in a general sense should be incorrect.

True, but as we always do, we specify to fit our needs.

You can't decide who is superior or inferior than whom no matter what. There are too many variables.

That will always be up to public opinion which changes all the time.

I have been told many times that my use of insults in my arguments does not help at all, but I resume doing so. A personality flaw, perhaps. Maybe even a form of aspergers. But this does not decide the inferiority or superiority of two beings.
No, however, it does show which side is more easy to manipulate and control.
Could have fooled me.

You put emotion in where no emotion is stated, implied, or even needed. Fact and logic are emotionless.

What the forget?  The simple fact that you're older makes your word more significant.  That's like taking a 70 year old bus driver and saying he knows more than a Harvard graduate.  So what if the graduate is a bookworm with no practical experience, he is vastly superior to the guy who has driven a bus all his life.

Ah, but you never know that that lowly bus driver could have been a Harvard Graduate neurosurgeon who had to retire because of arthritis due his age. You can't assume someone's intelligence and experience based on the job they keep.

You need to pull your head out of your ass if you think Inv3rted is worse than you in every way, shape, and form.  Sure you might be better at some stuff, but it's extremely arrogant to say you're better at everything

I never said he was. I conceded that he makes many good points on other threads which I agree with. My argument in this thread is that he feels morally superior to Christians simply because they believe in a God he tries to find as many faults in as possible and that as a result the very moral fabric of our society is on a plummeting decline to mass hysteria. A good argument stems from having supporting content for both sides, not just one. A biased argument isn't an argument at all. Technically this whole argument of God vs Science is fought by biased people and therefore nothing should be taken as complete fact. There is way too many variables to prove both sides wrong, yet no one on either opposing side is providing any evidence of right from the other side. Save for my little blurb now and then over the forums of how I think Science is God's way of allowing us to understand how he works.

I've read almost every post made by Inv3rted and I can't find a single thing where he comes off as childish or insecure.  He is offensive only in the face of sheer stupidity

Yes, because you went through his entire post history to figure that out. Look hard enough and you will find plenty of examples.
You're so stupid, it's remarkable.
Doesn't sound superior here. Not at all.
He's stupid, it's obvious. Just read the thread I had about him.
Surely this isn't him acting better than someone else.

ASCII boobs are my special interest.
Nope, not childish at all.
I could go on if I looked deep enough, but he's been guilty of the same failings he loves to label me with. He's certainly not any better.

What still surprises me is that you can't even treat him as an equal.  His points are all valid and he welcomes feedback and retorts.  Whenever you feel yourself slipping, you whip out the senior citizen card you keep in your wallet.

He had a good start today of being a decent discussion partner up until he began bashing my clear example of a positive view for religion. That shows me that he is closed minded and not open to new views which may help his understanding of what some religious people believe. He doesn't want to understand, so he can't be considered an equal in the argument. It's like talking to a guy listening to headphones. Nothing gets in that he wants to get in.

First of all, let me say that Rughugger is a massive hypocrite. "He doesn't want to understand, so he can't be considered an equal in the argument. It's like talking to a guy listening to headphones. Nothing gets in that he wants to get in." is exactly how I would describe you in this. Every time inverted makes an intelligent point that you can't make a good response to (because you're wrong, nonbias aside), you point out that you are older and therefore superior. You are only 2X, maximum. That isn't old, it's a young adult. You talk about how Inv3rted is ignorant, when you assume that you are superior simply because you have a few more years of life experience. Even a 100 year old who has done everything a human can do on this planet is completely insignificant in the grand scheme of things. Inv3rted is at least willing to admit that you're at least his equal in terms of experience, not that it means anything. Superiority isn't something you can judge simply by a small gap in age. Even that stance contributes to your naivety. It's literally impossible to say "I'm superior to you." because that implies that you are superior to him in every way. This is not only false, it's impossible to know over the internet, or even if you knew him in real life! In conclusion, you are a massive hypocrite with a grossly inflated superiority complex.

I'm not saying I'm not guilty of fault. When have I ever stated this? You're only basing your response on this singular argument and assume it applies to everything me and Inv3rted talk about. This simply isn't true. I have conceded in many other areas of his correct reasoning, and yet he still feels the urge to include a put down despite agreeing with him. That hardly shows him of thinking of me as an equal in any case. So he is as much of a hypocryte as I am. I don't think I've denied being a hypocryte because I know I don't exactly follow everything I advise. Especially when I'm dealing with women. But that's a given.

What I'm saying is that you have no room to use "I'm superior" as a debate point.

I'll concede to that. However, he treats me like an inferior so I'm going to do the same.
