Eh, try to look younger if you could.

sorry to bring the war back, but a few pages ago there was an argument that the government would declare swine flu a pandemic, and obama did

Well, the first people who recieved it were in mexico at the time.

Better yet why don't you ask the families that agreed to taking out horrid loans. Housing means nothing if you can't support the means to keep it. Even if it's the environment/economy around you that changes, forcing you to change.

Also, kids are dumb.

It's irrelevant as to how stupid people were for taking the loans that forgeted up the current economy, it is still manipulation done by banks in search of a profit and only a profit. Even if the people were stupid, and I don't believe they were, the only way to stop them from making these choices is to stop the choices from being offered by the banks.

Or you could punish those who go into debt, like in Dubai. You get jailed if you run out of money there, no matter what the reason. Can't pay for healthcare? Jailed. We have everything here except the jailing.

We have something similar, it's called Homelessness. Worse than jailing because you don't get three square meals, roof over your head, and clothing on a regular basis. I'd rather be in jail than be homeless.

Yeah but most people get to live in their car.  :cookieMonster:

Yeah but most people get to live in their car.  :cookieMonster:
I had to for nearly a month. It wasn't bad up until winter and how my neck hurt like hell from sleeping on the seats.

If they can afford one.

If they can afford one.

They take a loan on their house that they can't repay to buy the car.

Obviously.

Oh... I got it.

I honestly don't think there should be a penalty for being homeless. If you truly can't support yourself due to injury and such, I believe you should be taken in and cared for, but people have gotten so lazy that they won't work. I think that we should stop supporting the homeless that are just too lazy. Have something like this:

Homeless person: "I'm homeless, can I get some soup?"
Soup person: "Do you have any injuries preventing you from working that you can prove?"
Homeless person: "Um... Well.... No."
Soup person: "No soup for you!"

If they're hungry, they'll work.

Hard to find a job without access to showers and clean clothes. Would you hire a guy who looks and smells like stuff? They're walking health hazards.
