Author Topic: Mission editor won't save textures  (Read 1668 times)

I've been trying to make a map in the mission editor, but unfortunately a problem with the editor has been stopping me from doing pretty much everything. When I try to load a texture that's not a default, it appears white, and when I use a default texture to cover the map, the mission editor doesn't save the texture so it reverts to default grass when I come back to the map later. I don't know why the forget it's doing this and I don't know how to solve it.

The textures for the terrain have to be in multiples of 2 right?
So, 64x64 128x128
?

The texture is a default 512x512 texture.

??

I'm using the SAND texture. :/

It save the ter file in a different location.

No, it saved it where I saved the .mis file, and I even moved them into their own Map_(stuff).zip, still shows up as the default grass. Even if I still try to repaint the texture, it doesn't save next time I open the editor, and reverts to the default grass.

moved
This is your problem. You need to save the terrain into a folder with the same name as the zip you're going to move it to, to be sure that texture locations aren't screwed over when you move the .ter into a .zip file.

Well, durr. I know how to package stuff, I already did that.

You must not've done it correctly, are you sure?
